Mini soccer teams wanted

Wigan Mini Soccer League is currently recruiting teams for it’s 11th season.

Based at the Robin Park Arena, Wigan the league caters for five age groups, from Under 8s to Under 11s.

All games are played on Sundays on an artificial pitch which enables children to develop basic ball and team skills on a flat, even surface.

The all weather playing area allows the league to play most weeks through the winter giving teams continuous league action when grass pitches are waterlogged.

As well as catering for affiliated clubs the leagues allow children to form their own teams with friends from school, Youth Groups, Cubs etc. All parents need to do is bring the team down at the allotted time each week.

The league which boasts more than 30 teams from as far a field as Preston is fully FA affiliated enabling the use of top local referees in all games.

The 2008/2009 program will be split into Mini seasons and every player will receive a trophy at the end of each league cycle (approximately 14 weeks) -win or lose!
