In response to your story Car Park Chaos, I think rail commuters who claim they are being driven to drive due to the temporary car park closure should adopt a different attitude.

There are several other ways to get to Chorley train station. I personally walk every day (regardless of the weather).

Surely in today’s current economic climate people would be looking at ways to save money. Also Network Rail could help by installing proper bike lockers.

I used to drive to the station but got fed up at not being able to park at 7.30am - and when I could I usually got blocked in much to my annoyance. So now I get the bus from Coppull, and it is far easier and cheaper than I thought. It only costs £24 per month when you buy an additional "PlusBus" add on with the season ticket at the train station. This website will explain more: http://www.plusbus.i
