Ways to solve train chaos

Re Car Park Chaos, here are three things that might alleviate the problems: 1) The Manchester /Chorley/ Preston trains to run via Wigan and up the main line. If they arranged to stop at Euxton Balshaw Lane (at least during peak hours) some Chorley station users could drive and park there.
2) Chorley Interchange Bus Station used to relieve the railway car park for the train replacements?
Fortunately not my problem. I am retired! But if a tunnel in a state of near collapse has to be re-built, it is hard to see how inconvenience can be avoided.
