I am writing because for the last four years my frail elderly mum has been a resident of The Adelphi Care Home in Chorley.

Soon after arrival she became totally immobile becoming increasingly dependent for all her needs.

She has been unable to communicate for the last two years but the staff have provided exceptional care over a long period of time.

Mum was respected and loved and received wonderful TLC until the day she was called home to glory on 22.04.08 aged 90 years.

In days when many families have cause for concern because of poor standards or even neglect in some care homes, I write this to acknowledge what the Adelphi team went far beyond the call of duty.

(After all it is a residential home not a nursing home).

We are deeply grateful.

I hope the "big boss" appreciates you.
